The Story behind GateUP
I’m Martina Šimánková, a teacher since 1992.
Over the years, I saw what didn’t work — and what truly made kids come alive: curiosity, teamwork, adventure, and real challenges filled with purpose and joy.
So I turned to young people. Together, we built GateUP — a platform that works like LEGO: small, connected challenges that click step by step into a bigger picture.
GateUP gives children more than knowledge. They gain real skills, confidence, resilience — and that feeling of flow when learning turns into adventure.

GateUP Carries the Spirit of Crystal Valley
I come from Crystal Valley — a place shaped by glassmakers, inventors, and people who took the time to do things right. They used courage and common sense to create things that last.
My grandmother called it real skill: knowing what matters, when it matters.
GateUP carries that spirit forward — helping today’s kids think clearly, plan wisely, and create something real.
